The story of an incredible special needs kitty

Peanut was a bona fide four-legged comedian, who wore resilience, humor, persistence, love, warmth, and happiness like a fuzzy, multi-colored coat. This little furball, who was a mere four-month-old nugget when rescued from the animal shelter, could melt hearts and burst laughs in equal measure. Brain damage from neglect? Pssh, he brushed it off like a piece of lint on his tail. Peanut, our peculiar pussycat, would circle rooms like a NASCAR champ, holler like a banshee, impersonate meerkats, often go on epic quests to the litterbox, and cuddle you like a baby trying to get out of laundry duty.

Social media couldn’t resist this feline funnybone, turning him into a star on TikTok (@peanut_specialneedskitty) and Instagram (@peanut_thespecialneedskitty). He was a biscuit-making maestro, a highwire act with slightly terrifying balance, a photogenic model who could out-pout Zoolander, and he possessed a meow that could drown out a chainsaw.

In honor of our late, great Peanut, we’ve sparked up this line of candles, with a little help from his eight adopted fur-siblings. After mingling with thousands of cats in the world of animal rescue, I wanted to bottle up the riotous laughter and snugly love they bring into our lives.

And yes, every candle is hand-poured, possibly with a few ‘paw-poured’ as well (no animals were harmed in the making).

Peanut may have passed too soon, but we couldn’t think of a more fitting tribute than sharing his joie de vivre with you.
